GenericTools.dev provides free online developer and converter tools. This policy explains what data may be processed when you use the site.

Browser-side tools

Several tools, including JSON Formatter, Base64 Encode/Decode, URL Encode/Decode, JWT Decoder, GUID Generator and Timestamp Converter, are designed to run in your browser. For these tools, the text you enter is processed locally by JavaScript and is not intentionally uploaded to our server for conversion.

Server-side tools

Some features require server-side processing. IP Lookup, Port Checker and DICOM to PNG conversion send the minimum data needed to complete the request. For example, a port check requires a host and port number, and DICOM conversion requires the uploaded DICOM file so the server can render a PNG image.

Uploaded files

Uploaded files are processed for the requested conversion and are not stored as user accounts, galleries or permanent downloads. The DICOM converter processes files in memory and returns a PNG response. DICOM files may contain sensitive health metadata or patient text burned into the image, so you should upload only files that you are allowed to process.

Technical logs

Like most websites, the hosting environment may record technical information such as IP address, request URL, browser type, timestamps, error details and security events. These logs are used for troubleshooting, abuse prevention, reliability and security.

Advertising and third parties

GenericTools.dev may use advertising services such as Google AdSense after approval. Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies. We do not ask users to create accounts, and we do not sell uploaded files or tool inputs.
